Fall First Preview

Beginning the new season with the relaunch of Underworld in the extrait de parfum. This is the first in a long time for the original concentration of the perfume. First launched in 2008, Underworld began with an alcohol tincture of benzoin, labdanum, Mexican vanilla beans and agarwood. the signature base for many of the earlier perfumes.

A lot has changed since then and a lot has changed since the last time I made the Vanilla tincture. Most notable is the cost of materials. I have had to increase some of the prices, but have also brought back the mini 4ml flacon in the Singnature parfums. A more affordable offering, that doesn't shut people out completely.

Our sample is returning to the little screw top 1ml pots.

Since it is Halloween and my target date for the relaunch of Underworld, the other things will be along soon.

I am loving this new batch. Perhaps it is the vetiver blend. I find this current crop of oils to be brighter and more complex. Particularly the Haitian Oils. Still smoky and deep, but also more spicy.
