These are the very same materials that I use in my perfumes. They are of high quality, name brand (where it matters) and stored in an optimum environment. Many of the more costly name brand materials are only available in sizes 1kilo and larger. We are offering them in a smaller size, so as to make them available to individuals unable to purchase in large quantity. We have a selection of natural and synthetic materials. Specialty Manufacturers Bases and  Our own Bases and Accords. All are full strength except where noted.  All diluted materials are sold at full disclosure as to the solvent used to dilute the materials.
Instead of using manufactures language exclusively to describe these materials I will describe them as I use them on a day to day basis in my own work. My aim here is not just to sell materials, but to provide useful information about them. L. Zorn

MSDS Sheets are available on most of the aroma chemicals as down loadable PDF files from the manufacturer.  You may also visit their website directly to print out the spec sheet for the materials, along with usage guidelines and applications.

Aroma Chemical Tip: Most Aroma Chemicals are very strong at full strength. To better understand the nuances it is recommended that they be diluted to at least 10% to evaluate them. They may still be used at full strength in blending or as recommended in the re-creation of formulas including them.  Some Aroma Chemicals are hard to break down but most of them will break down in perfumers alcohol. Isopropyl Myristate and Dipropylene Glycol are also acceptable dilutent/solvents. It is also possible to dilute many aroma chemicals in Fractionated Coconut Oil.

Essential Oil synergy Blends: Uses. We have created our essential oil blends to be used as a base material in bath and body products. The ones we have available here are the same ones we use in our Studio Blends for Bath Salts, Lotions, Body Butters, Balms and Massage oils. Unless noted they are not for use on the face, or used at full strength on the skin. It is recommended that they be used at a ratio of no higher than 10% in body care formulas and no more than 15% for use in perfumes or perfume solids.

FORMULAS

Basic Body Butter
2 parts solid butter, such as
coconut, shea, cocoa, mango
1 part liquid oil, such as jojoba, almond, avocado
1 tsp. Vitamin E Oil to retain freshness
Heat solids on low in a double boiler, add liquids and vitamin e.
Cool (can be speeded up in the fridge)
whip with hand mixer until the butter blend begins to thicken and take on whipped air. Place in jars and keep in cool dry place, or in the fridge.
For each cup of body butter 1/2 tsp essential oil blend may be added.

Basic Shiny Lip Gloss
1 TBS Jojoba Oil
1 TBS Castor Bean Oil
1 tsp. Cocoa Butter
1 tsp. Beeswax or Candelilla Wax
heat all ingredients in double boiler or stainless steel measuring cup, pour into pots (your choice) and let cool.

Basic Solid Perfume
1 TBS Fractionated Coconut Oil
1/2 tsp Beeswax or Candelilla Wax
1 tsp fragrance or essence oil
heat the oil and wax on low heat until melted, add fragrance but do not over heat. pour into prepared pots, let cool.
This formula is for an Eau de parfum strength perfume. for a stronger perfume increase the scent load but leave the oil and wax the same.

RATIOS
FOR SCENTING PRODUCTS

Body/Massage Oil
No more than 10% scent. NO more than 5% if the scent blend contains spicy oils such as cinnamon and clove.

Body Creams & Lotions
No more than 5% scent.

Face Creams
Non irritating scent materials only
no more than 2%.

Parfum: 20-40% scent
Eau de parfum: 15-22% scent
Eau de toilette: 8-15% scent
Cologne: 5-12% scent
Eau de Cologne: the scent load for a classic EDC is 2-5%

AROMA CHEMICALS
Aroma Chemicals are molecules and compounds used in the making of perfumes. We have both natural (from plants) and man made/synthetic (lab produced) aroma chemicals and isolates.
Sizes: 4.5ml vial - liquids / 15ml poly vial, powders
ALDEHYDE C-16 STRAWBERRY
this is a very powerful material used in the creation of berry/fruit accords such as raspberry and plum. unless otherwise stated in formulation, it is recommended to use this in dilution as it can easily overpower a composition. I use this alone in dilution when I want an instant strawberry note to appear in a composition, or as a building block for other fruity accords.

ALDEHYDE C-18 COCONUT
this material adds creaminess to many types of accords and bases, including tropical fruit accords, melon, peach, chocolate and vanilla. the creamy aspect is present in dilution, so it is possible to use Coconut Aldehyde without the end result being a pronounced coconut note.I personally like how this material along with Isoraldine 95 adds interesting nuances to a basic Jasmine accord.

ANISYL ACETATE
can be used as a modifier in floral accords and is a component of Lilac and Hawthorne blends. it has a fruity sweet profile, can add interest to vanilla and chocolate accords, or used alone to add a hint of fruitiness to a floral heart. I use it in all of my Lilac accords.

ETHYLENE BRASSYLATE
a macrocyclic musk, one of the "white Musk" types with a powdery sweet profile that is versatile enough to use in any kind of formulation.  can be used in place of the polycyclic musk Glaxolide.

EXALTOLIDE (Firmenich)
there are no substitutes for the real thing here, exaltolide is one of the finest musks available. it adds depth and roundness, as well as warmth and radiance to a composition. this musk has a very natural feel and brings out that same quality in all other materials in a blend. When I want to add a radiant musk element to one of my natural perfumes for personal use, this is the musk I go to.

GERANIOL EXTRA
geranium rose, rose, citrus. one of the more versatile building blocks of  a rose accord. can be used in many types of floral applications as well as cologne types. I use this material along with geraniol natural and essential oil geranium as a building block for rose and carnation. along with linalyl acetate adds a freshness to the accord.

FILBERTONE 5% IPM
this is one of the most interesting materials as it adds a distinct hazelnut note to a composition, there is a green aspect as well reminiscent of fig leaf and ripe fruit. use with a light hand as even in dilution it is very strong. adds interesting effects to all kinds of compositions. this is my go to, add a twist to the mix material.

HEDIONE HC (Firmenich)
more of a specialty component, it adds a brightness, open feel to top and floral notes of all kinds, not just jasmine, it is a component in Writing Lyrical Poetry where it adds to the lift and bloom of the white flowers. use with a light hand or in dilution as it can easily overpower whatever it is used with.

HEXYL ACETATE
Green, leafy, pear in dilution, a vital component in a pear accord -  top/heart note. I use this in my pear accords and as a stand alone when I want just a hint of pear in a top note.

HELIOTROPINE CRYSTALS
warm with nuances of vanillin and coumarin with a cherry pie, somewhat nutty/almond note. it is often used in powdery accords, florals such as Lilac, Carnation and Lily of the Valley and adds softness. a vital component in the recreation of vintage florals. this is a key element in our Lilacs & Heliotrope perfume.

HELVETOLIDE (Firmenich)
musk, with a top note pear aspect, good choice for lighter florals, clean types - is detectable in all aspects of the dry down. I use this musk in my lighter compositions and in particular with the eau de toilettes Queen City Rain and Jasmine Summer.

ISORALDEINE 95 (Givaudan)
an excellent iris/violet note with more of the flower than the root. this is a versatile material and can be used in many different compositions from flowery to oriental. adds volume and diffusion.

LILY OF THE VALLEY ACCORD (house blend) An old fashioned accord that contains hydroxycitronellal. This is a bare minimum accord that can be enhanced in many ways, or can be filled out with a hint of vanilla and musk.
MUSCONE (Firmenich)
hands down our favorite musk.  has a warming effect in blends, adds lift and diffusion with a  slight sweetness and soft animalic tones such as that found in tonkin musk. muscone spins it's sultry web  through a composition like no other musk. it is elegant and sensual without being overbearing.

NECTARYL (Givaudan)
one of the nicer fruity materials with aspects of peach, melon and apricot. more apricot than peach, with a lactonic (creaminess) feel. this material is great for adding interest to fruity berry accords such as strawberry, plum and raspberry.also a nice addition for citrus and tropical floral accords.

NERYL ACETATE
an indispensable building block for many accords including berry, plum, teas, rose, jasmine and orange flower. the odor profile suggests, ripe berries, orange flower and apple. I use this material in both my strawberry and raspberry accords.

ORANGER CRYSTALS
this is the go to material when creating a classic orange flower accord. it is useful in traditional cologne accords, or where an orange element is required. the description most associated with this material is orange honey, sweet. all are true, but the orange aspect is quite dominant with the honey sweetness being a background player.

PARADISIMIDE (Givaudan)
a recently released captive with a kaleidescope of interesting nuances. the kitchen sink of nuance with hints of grapefruit, rhubarb, tropical fruits, greenery and even metal. it is somewhat powerful so should be used in dilution. billed as a top note this material is much longer lasting and can be detected throughout the heart and into the dry down of a fragrance.I am still experimenting with this new material, and find it fascinating.

PEONILE (Givaudan)
this is another one of the ensemble players in my bag of tricks. i use this material to add interest to citrus accords and to boost the freshness of heavier florals.

PHENYL ETHYL ACETATE
one of the tried and true players in the game, a rose modifier, this material adds that modern rose aspect to the traditional rose accord by injecting elements of fruity, honey sweetness. it can also be used alone or to accentuate gourmand accords containing cocoa and caramel.

RASPBERRY KETONE Powder
straight up raspberry, this is the key material in raspberry accords, as well as being somewhat warm and full. can be used as a stand alone in many applications where a fruity note is needed. I rarely use this as a stand alone, but always add it to my berry accords.

RASPBERRY KEY ACCORD 100% (made in house)
From the Givuadan Key Accords this is a very intense powerful accord with a multi-red berry profile. Raspberry is the dominant factor with a strong strawberry undertone.
VANILLIN Natural Powder
this is a natural vanillin derived from cloves, vanillin is intensely sweet, without the boozy aspects of the absolute. if you are in need of a clean linear vanilla note this is the perfect material. it is very powerful so a little goes a long way.

PERFUMERS BASES & ACCORDS
Traditionally a base is a formulation that contains elements of top, middle and bottom notes, and can be used as a stand alone element or as part of a formula. an accord is of simpler construction such as top note accords, heart accords etc. All of the manufactures bases are perfumers grade full strength materials.
APPLE JUICE GIVCO
Sparkling Apple Juice Base/Accord 100% - This is a very bubbly clean apple accord with a realistic apple juice aspect. It works best in top note accords or could be used alone in a bath or body product. This is a strong material and could benefit from dilution. Ours is older stock that we have kept in refrigeration.

FRAISE'
Strawberry Base (Firmenich) 100% - A very realistic wild strawberry note, not overpowering like pure strawberry aldehyde. This base can be used as part of a fruit accord or alone in bath and body products.

TUBEREUSE
Tuberose Base/Accord (Firmenich)  Our favorite Tuberose Base. Very true to the Absolute. Can be used in place of natural tuberose absolute in all applications.

PARMANTHEME
Parma Violet Base/Accord (Firmenich)  A very high end Parma Violet Base with elements of  both the flower and leaf. We use it as part of the violet accord in our Violets & Rainwater Perfume formula. It has many uses, and can be substituted anywhere a good violet note is needed.

MIEL BLANC
Honey Base/Accord (Symrise) This is a very special honey base with elements of honey mead. An intense powerful material that benefits from dilution. Can be used as a honey note, or as a floralizer to add volume to a formulation. I used it first in my Honey Mead Perfume, but have since adapted it to an accord that also contains natural honey and beeswax absolute.

Rose Base (Givaudan)  - a good and economical red rose base, can be used in many applications from perfume to body products.

Jasmine Sambac Base (Givaudan) Jasmine Sambac, a bit spicier and more intense than the absolute, with good longevity, and a clean jasmine quality minus the animalic indole aspect. a very nice jasmine substitute, works well at full strength or in dilution.

BERGAMOT GIVCO
Bergamot Base/Accord (Givaudan) a bergamot replacer, we use this in a 1-2-3 ratio with bergamot essential oil and bergamot essential oil FCF. 1 part Bergamot Givco, 2 parts Bergamot Essential Oil, 3 parts Bergamot Essential oil FCF.  For a nice "Green" top note accord, add 1 part Triplal 10%

OSMANTHIA GIVCO 
Osmanthus Base/Accord (Givaudan) This is a very strong base, reminiscent of the floral aspect of osmanthus, benefits from dilution. Ours is older stock that has been kept in refrigeration.

ULTRAZUR 
is an oceanic/aquatic/marine base created by Givaudan. it is a very powerful material that benefits from dilution. it can be used  in higher percentages to create a marine signature scent  where the ultrazur is detectable in all phases of the scent evolution, or it can be used in trace amounts to add flavor or interest to top notes and floral accords. according to the company's profile it adds a sheering effect to florals. this depends on the florals. best applied in this application to lighter florals like Lily of the Valley, Freesia, as well as transparent floral accords.

HONEY AMBER (house blend)
this is one of my many amber blends. it is a mixed blend with a high percentage of natural materials. over 80% of the total composition. it is a standard amber containing Tolu, Benzoin and Labdanum. it also contains natural and synthetic honey notes, lifting effects and volume from Aldehyde C12 MNA and Okoumal.  this is a building block,it does not contain vanilla or vanillin or musk. i like to reserve the option of adding these elements later.
